What’s the point?
Are your drawings lacking texture? Does everything look flat?
Enter: Material Studies. These serve as an artistic starting point to help figure out the problems that you’ll face in rendering different materials, and getting them right will help bring life to your artwork.
I've been working on drawing specific materials and trying to develop a strong sense of the components that make up the material, with the goal of incorporating these components into my larger art projects.
This gallery is where I’ll add the various materials that I’ve been practicing to help create the inanimate objects for my comic style art. These will be eventually part of the background scenes, clothing, food, drink, magic and power effects.
You just gotta sit down and DO THE WORK.
